Description

The Research & Innovation committee was set up in September 2009; it groups professionals having an activity linked to R&D and R&T. The idea is to form a R&D platform, i.e. a large scientific base for information and experience sharing, giving exposure and visibility to the French Scientific Community in Singapore.

Supported Events:

Innovfest unbound is the anchor event of Smart Nation Innovations, a week-long series of events that showcase Asia’s most innovative developments. Over 8,000 entrepreneurs, brands, corporates, investors and tech start-ups will meet and share new ideas, build partnerships and celebrate digital disruption.

 

This year, 4 additional satellite events are being launched that will highlight the trends shaping the world of tech throughout 2017; converge, futurenow, fintech360 and arise.

Highlights

 

The "Wise Innovation: A Journey Toward Smart Society" conference took place on 7 October 2016 and brought together French companies and Singapore governmental agencies for a day of exchange on strategies and opportunities in innovation. Through a series of three discussion panels and in the presence of keynote speaker Navi Radjou, Silicon Valley-based Innovation Strategist and Guest-of-Honour Professor Low Teck Seng, CEO of National Research Foundation of Singapore, the conference explored what it means to be innovating 'wisely', and the areas and ways in which enriching French companies can be contributing to Singapore's Smart Nation vision.

 

 

 

Singapour est classé régulièrement comme l’un des pays du monde les plus propices à l’innovation et à la création d’entreprise, et avec un volume de dépenses dans la Recherche et le Développement (R&D) évalué à 2.3% du PIB.La Cité-état a su créer de véritables hub innovants regroupant géographiquement les principaux acteurs de la Recherche structurés sous forme de clusters dynamiques.
