Join us for a breakfast conversation with Henri Giscard d’Estaing, President of Club Med and Xavier Desaulles, CEO of Club Med East and South Asia & Pacific, as they share with us insights about Club Med’s journey to become the worldwide leader in Premium All-Inclusive holidays, its brand transformation, mountain leadership ambitions and future growth plans.
About the Speakers:
Henri Giscard d’Estaing is the President of Club Med since 2003. He served as Chairman of the Board of Directors (2002-2005) and General Manager (2001-2002). He joined as Finance Vice President (1997). In the Danone group (1987), he was successively Development M&A Director, CEO of the British subsidiary, CEO of Evian-Badoit and of the Mineral waters division. Henri Giscard d’Estaing began his professional career at the Cofremca (1982-1987). He was elected Conseiller General du Loir & Cher when he was 22, being the youngest elected representative in France.
Henri Giscard d’Estaing is a graduate of the Paris Institute of Political Studies and has a master degree in economic sciences.
Xavier Desaulles joined Club Med as the CEO of East and South Asia & Pacific (ESAP) in 2016.
Prior to joining Club Med, Xavier led the expansion of the Rémy Cointreau Group in the region and its portfolio of Wine & Spirits. Up until 2011, Xavier was the Senior Vice-President Commercial Director of Rémy Cointreau USA in New York, and held various positions in Paris, including that of Marketing Manager at L’Oréal, and Management Consultant at A.T. Kearney.
A Swiss and French national, Xavier graduated from HEC in 1996, then from the INSEAD MBA program in 2000. He also holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Paris IV-Sorbonne.
