Most companies have heard of digitalisation and e-procurement by now. However, many are still unclear on the specifics and how digitalisation can contribute to their goals.
To name only a few, e-procurement enables time efficiency, helps achieving lower purchase prices and improves corporate compliance.
During this talk, Ken OOI, Director of Tenderboard, and Julie LE, Senior Consultant at Optimal Cost will paint the whole picture: starting from Singapore digitalisation initiatives, to sharing best practices and finally discussing challenges and benefits of e-procurement adoption.
A case study will be shared to give a real view on implementation pain points, success factors and ultimately what ROI has been achieved.
- Please note that this event is restricted to French Chamber members only -
About the speakers
- Ken OOI, Director, Tenderboard
Ken is a rocket scientist by training, but spends his time these days dedicated to tackling a challenge that is closer to the ground: Procurement.
His unlikely journey to co-founding TenderBoard began with his first job as an "arms trader", working for the Singapore Government to procure fighting ships and unmanned aircraft (and other things that cannot be spoken of). He later started a company that developed and marketed enterprise software solutions including mobile reporting systems, queue management systems and SMS aggregation.
Along the way, he saw the challenges of procurement and tendering from both the Buyer's and Supplier's perspectives. It didn't look pretty. TenderBoard was born with a mission to build a new kind of eProcurement System that will finally provide a means for all businesses to digitise and automate their Source-to-Pay processes for themselves and their suppliers.
- Julie LE, Senior Consultant, Optimal Cost
Julie is a senior consultant at Optimal Cost, a Singaporean firm specialized in IT advisory and procurement optimization.
She has 8 years’ experience working for large utility corporations, delivering multi-million dollars deals on time and within budget. While engaged on a massive energy project overseen by the British and French governments, she had to deal with evolving organisational layers, complex decision-making processes and stakeholders push-back. Change management was truly essential to the success of this project.
Julie is now aiming to help companies, regardless of their size, putting people and processes together to become more efficient and profitable.
