The session will look at major developments in sustainability and responsibility in the food services industry and how Sodexo, as large food services company is responding to it.

Client and customers are increasingly interested in how Sodexo's services can support their own sustainability efforts, through healthy and sustainable food options, a growth model that promotes inclusive partnerships with local businesses and how we are tackling waste. All these actions are crucial as they reduce carbon emissions and support clients’ transition to a low carbon economy and avoid the worst impacts of climate change, pollution, and biodiversity.

During this meeting, Roshith Rajan, Director Corporate Responsibility, Asia Pacific at Sodexo will-deep dive into aspects relating to “Responsible Food” such as  - healthy and sustainable menu offers, responsible supply chain, animal welfare issues, key commodities such as palm oil, seafood, eggs, animal protein, etc.;  food waste; use of plastics, local community impact on small holders, responsible marketing, and the fight against hunger/malnutrition.

About the Speaker

  • Roshith RAJAN, Director Corporate Responsibility, Asia Pacific at Sodexo

Based in Singapore since 2014, Roshith RAJAN is the Director, Corporate Responsibility, Asia Pacific for SODEXO, a world leader in quality of life services, serving 100 million customers daily.  

Roshith is responsible for the development and execution of the ‘Better Tomorrow 2025’, Sodexo’s Corporate Responsibility roadmap, with a particular focus on hunger, community, gender, and waste.  He influences internal and external stakeholders of the business value of Corporate Responsibility and integrating it into business strategy and everyday operations in the 18 APAC countries/territories and sites.  He also heads the ‘Stop Hunger’ for Asia Pacific, a philanthropic program that is a leading force in the fight against hunger and malnutrition with a target to impact 100 million beneficiaries by 2025.

He strongly believes in the human aspects to address social and environmental challenges and opportunities. Prior to Singapore, he worked with the Sodexo Group HQ in Paris for 5 years. He has an MBA (Finance) from HEC-Paris, France and a Bachelor of Electrical & Electronics Engineering from BITS Pilani, India.
