The transportation and logistics sector is a key pillar of Singapore’s economy. Given the increased supply chain complexity in Asia, technology advancements and changing business models in the sector, there are new growth opportunities in the logistics sector. 


To tap these opportunities, EDB (Economic Development Board) needs to work with a range of partners to transform the industry focusing on innovation, productivity and manpower skills & capabilities.


Let’s hear it from Mr LEE Eng Keat, Executive Director, EDB!

About the Speaker:

  • Mr Lee Eng Keat, Executive Director, Economic Development Board

Mr. Lee Eng Keat oversees EDB’s various industry clusters including Logistics, Natural Resources and the International Organisations Programme Office.

Prior to this, Mr. Lee was responsible for EDB’s engagement of companies in the Middle East, South Asia, South East Asia and Oceania as International Director (Asia Pacific).

In his previous appointment as Regional Director (India), Mr. Lee has been actively working with Indian companies since 2007 and was instrumental in growing India’s presence in Singapore.

Mr. Lee concurrently headed the Communications department at the EDB in 2008. Between 2005 and 2007, Mr. Lee was seconded to the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) as Assistant Director in the Sector Planning Division. Mr. Lee joined the EDB as a Senior Officer for the Infocomms and Media cluster in 1999.
