09:00 to 10:30
13 Feb 2017
Singapore’s rapidly aging population means that by 2030, the nation will join 33 others as a “super-aged” country, where one in five people are aged 65 or older. This silvering trend will touch every aspect of Singapore’s society and economy, from its fiscal policies to its generational dynamics.
In order to understand the initiatives Singapore has launched, we are glad to organise a site visit at Pacific Activity Centre (Yishun Greenwalk), a one-stop activity centre and main connecting point among the seniors in the community, on Tuesday 14 February 2017 from 9 am to 10.30am. Our speakers will share their concept and experience.

About Pacific Activity Centres:
Pacific Activity Centres was set up as part of our goal of providing comprehensive and holistic care for the elderly. While our custom-built nursing homes provide optimal residential care, the availability of facilities within the neighbourhood will help our seniors remain physically fit, mentally active and socially connected with their friends and family. By engaging & empowering our seniors to live actively, we hope to fulfil our vision of making Pacific Activity Centres the heart of a happy, healthy & harmonious community.
Our centres are linked to the Alert Alarm System in the studio apartment units, and will monitor and respond to emergency calls during office hours. We will also help provide further information or referrals if necessary. Currently, we are operating 10 centres (Woodlands, Punggol, Sengkang, Yishun, Tampines, Tiong Bahru, and Dawson) with the 11th centre to be opened on 16 January at Chua Chu Kang.
