“The customer is always right” – thus goes the familiar adage coined by the founder of London’s Selfridges back in 1909… And it still holds true. Today’s retail journey must be designed to inspire consumers to make their own experience out of each moment and touchpoint, rather than forcing them to follow a predetermined pathway. This can only be achieved through a strong understanding of the trends, ideas and innovations influencing how the modern consumer behaves, what they are looking for and what drives their purchase decision.

During this session, ielo design and Bienvenue use their background in store design, retail experience, and digital transformation to share why this shift in mindset is necessary, and how successful brands have been able to develop winning retail strategies in this way.

About the Speaker

  • Jeanne Mouterde, Co-founder and General Manager, ielo design


Jeanne MouterdeWith a background in marketing and strategy consulting, Jeanne has been working with retailers, brands and F&B players for over 12 years to help them develop exciting, relevant and innovative retail and shopper experiences and designs. She has a deep understanding of consumer behavior and retail trends, always ensuring that these are at the core of the design and retail concepts and projects that she works on.

Jeanne and her business partner, Cloé Faye, founded ielo design in Singapore in 2014, a one-stop creative agency that offers a wide range of services, including: market insight, customer analysis, design development and production. ielo truly believes in ensuring that each project and design is unique and driven by one objective: creating a stronger, deeper connection with customers that goes beyond aesthetics.

 


  • Chloé Cortinovis, Co-founder and Managing Director, Bienvenue agency

Chloé CortinovisHolder of an Executive MBA from the Institut Français de la Mode, Chloé Cortinovis has been working in the creative industry sector for almost 20 years. She worked as Strategy and Business Development Consultant before becoming Managing Director of the Texageres training and consultancy agency in Paris, where she remained for five years. Within this role, she collaborated withvarious luxury groups and brands on their retail transformation and employee development.

Specializing in the "expertise of excellence," she now shares her time between Paris and Singapore, building the identity of high-added-value brands. This involves informing retail and HR teams about the latest insights and future trends in consumer behaviors, so they can respond and adjust operationally.

In 2018, she founded the Bienvenue agency in Singapore, dedicated to the retail experience, the development of skills and the digital transformation of brands.
