Sing’theatre is an English–speaking professional theatre company created in 2006.
“Performing for a better society” is at the core of Sing’theatre’s beliefs. Our mission is to be a creative platform that uses music and theatre to help shape an inspiring future by:
• Producing musical revues and shows that open social dialogues in the Singaporean community and promote multicultural interaction; Sing’theatre has produced A Singaporean in Paris, A French Kiss in Singapore, 8 Women, La Vie En Rose and Forever Young.
• Making music and theatre universally accessible, especially in hospitals, reaching out in particular to the most isolated and underprivileged patients; Sing’theatre is the creator of SingMeAStory@NUH, MusicFest@SGH, and OnceUponASong@TTSH
• Empowering youth and the community as a whole by sharing our passion for performing and providing top–level musical theatre training. More than just offering technical lessons, we are exposing our students to the cultural value of musical theatre and real professional stage experience.
Sing’theatre was recognized in May 2011 by the Ministry of Information, Communications and the Arts (MICA) for its contribution to Singapore and was granted Institution of Public Character status (IPC).
