Held on Friday 08 June 2018 at Société Générale, Level 12 Townhall, Marina Bay Financial Centre Tower 1
The meeting started at 8:15 am and was chaired by Mr. Pascal Lambert, President, who welcomed the attendees.
The notice convening the meeting having been previously circulated in accordance with the French Chamber Constitution was taken as read and confirmed.
The quorum of at least 25% of the total voting membership or 30 voting members, whichever was the lesser was reached.
53 voting members were present or represented by a proxy.
3. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES OF THE 2017 AGM
The minutes of the AGM held on 9 June 2017 were duly approved.
4. ANNUAL REPORT
The President Pascal Lambert and the Executive Director, Carine Lespayandel, addressed the assembly and presented the French Chamber Annual report, which was approved unanimously.
Mr. Pascal Lambert started with an overview of the Chambers’ achievements in 2017-2018.
Highlights of the year included some large-scale events such as a “Smart-Health symposium”, the Working Together Forum and the French start-up awards among others.
The President presented the French Chamber membership evolution, representing a 3% growth versus last year. He thanked all the Board members, Committees Members, members and team for their active contribution and the 38 Patron members for their great support.
The President and the Director carried on by describing briefly for each department, the main results and performance achieved.
5. FINANCIAL REPORT
The Treasurer Emmy Tellier commented on the 2017 accounts, audited by Wellton & Trent Pac, and on the budget for 2018. The financial report was approved unanimously.
6. PROPOSED AMENDMENTS TO THE CONSTITUTION
The President and the Executive director presented the proposed amendments to the current constitution.
There were 53 voting Members, whether present or represented by a proxy and the vote took place by secret ballot.
The amendments proposed were approved at the unanimity of the Members present or represented.
7. APPOINTMENT OF AUDITORS
Wellton & Trent International Pte Ltd was appointed as external auditor for 2018.
8. OTHER MATTERS
The President Pascal Lambert briefly touched upon the reform of France’s public export support mechanism (the new “Team France Export”). Singapore being one of the 8 pilot countries where Business France would disengage from commercial support activities, a tender should take place in September.
