The start-ups should be focused on Blockchain Technologies and Artificial Intelligence
SINGAPORE — October 24, 2018 — Today, Ubisoft announced it was calling for Singaporean start-ups to apply to the third season of its international start-up program at Station F, the world’s largest start-up campus located in Paris. This season, announced earlier this month, will take place from January to July 2019.
“Ubisoft has been in Singapore for the past 10 years and our studio has witnessed the spectacular growth of the local tech start-up community. Ubisoft Singapore is situated next to a vibrant cluster hosting 800 start-ups, more than half of them in the Infocomm business. This Station F initiative is a fantastic way to strengthen the collaboration between the French and Singaporean innovation ecosystems, in line with the objectives of the France-Singapore Year of Innovation” says Hugues Ricour, Managing Director at Ubisoft Singapore.
The start-ups interested to apply should be focused on Blockchain Technologies and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
“These technologies are revolutionizing the way we live, the way we work and the way we entertain. Algorithms and AI have always been core to the gaming industry, and Ubisoft in particular has been exploring for some time new possibilities offered by AI and machine learning to improve the way we craft games. At Station F, Ubisoft wishes to support entrepreneurs using AI, machine learning and deep learning to creatively improve the entertainment experiences themselves. In the same vein, Blockchain allows Ubisoft to recognize and show the value gamers bring with their contributions to the community, and the content they create” says Catherine Seys, Start-up Program Director at Ubisoft’s Strategic Innovation Lab.
All selected start-ups will benefit from a six-month personalized program enabling each entrepreneur to interact with Ubisoft experts as well as partners across the company`s international network.
Ubisoft leads the Gaming and Entertainment program at Station F. One of the goals of this program for Ubisoft is to leverage and share in a win-win relationship its expertise with start-ups and entrepreneurs who are exploring new opportunities for tomorrow’s entertainment industry.
Candidates can apply now. The application process will close on November 15th 2018.
