MPA and CMA CGM Renew Partnership for Sustainable

MPA and CMA CGM Group have signed a renewed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to advance sustainable shipping and innovation in the maritime sector. This agreement builds upon their previous collaboration established in 2022.

Key highlights:
• Both parties will explore pilot trials, test bedding of an online carbon accounting registry, and share best practices for zero and near-zero emission marine fuels.
• Collaborate on cybersecurity and data exchange standards
• Strengthen maritime innovation ecosystem through ZEBOX and PIER71
• Develop local talent through leadership programmes, exchanges, internships, and scholarships

This partnership with CMA CGM reinforces Singapore's position as a maritime hub. It demonstrates a shared commitment to drive decarbonisation and digitalisation initiatives and support manpower development for the maritime sector.

The MoU was signed by Mr Eng Dih Teo, Chief Executive of MPA and Mr Rodolphe SAADE, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the CMA CGM Group.
