Past Event | Site Visit at ST Engineering

Members of the French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore were honoured to visit ST Engineering’s facility at Paya Lebar, Singapore, hosted by Mr. Tay Eng Guan, SVP/Head of Engine Services and General Manager of Engines at ST Engineering’s Commercial Aerospace. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Tay and his team, including Mr. David Goh, Mr. Tan Hean Seng, Mr. Johnston Lum, Mr. Edmund Chwa and Ms. Adeline Teo, for their hospitality.

The visit began with a warm welcome and a presentation by Mr. Tay Eng Guan, who provided an overview of ST Engineering’s Commercial Aerospace business and its pivotal role in the global aviation ecosystem. With over 50 years of aerospace expertise, ST Engineering has established itself as a leader in MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul), OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer), and aviation asset management services. The presentation showcased ST Engineering’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and leveraging state-of-the-art technologies such as automation and digitisation to drive operational excellence.

Participants then joined a guided tour of the engine MRO shop, where they observed various maintenance activities firsthand. The tour offered an in-depth look into the intricate and highly specialised work that goes into ensuring engine reliability and performance. Attendees were particularly impressed by the advanced automation systems, such as robotic hardware sorter and intelligent mapping technologies, which enhance efficiency and quality.

As the first independent MRO provider in Asia to join CFM’s authorized MRO network for LEAP engines, ST Engineering continues to achieve remarkable milestones. The site tour also highlighted the company’s sustainability efforts, including significant energy efficiency initiatives that align with Singapore’s broader environmental goals.

We sincerely thank ST Engineering’s engine MRO business for hosting this inspiring site visit and for showcasing their world-class capabilities.
