Ivan is a Director with ENGIE Impact’s Sustainability Solutions team out of APAC. He brings a wealth of experience (10+ years) serving in an advisory capacity to corporate clients across various industries, e.g., technology (Big Tech, data centres, as well as unicorns like Grab), supply-chain intensive consumer goods, energy, manufacturing, mining, financial services, etc., and various geographies including Asia, North America, Europe, and Africa.

His current focus on sustainability has covered a variety of topics, including decarbonisation strategy design and implementation, sustainability frameworks & target / ambition setting, energy efficiency optimisation, renewable energy procurement & technologies, as well as carbon markets development.

Ivan’s core capabilities include:

• Developing decarbonisation pathways and roadmaps across Scope 1, 2 and 3 to achieve net-zero targets in congruence with overarching business objectives across the value chain and its suppliers

• Driving carbon markets development from both a corporate and government front, such as carbon offset strategy, carbon pricing review, and cooperative mechanisms advancement (such as Article 6 and corresponding adjustments)

• Managing and executing projects of both strategy design and implementation including engaging stakeholders ranging from top executives through to technical analysts and corporate functions (digital, procurement, finance, etc.)

Prior to ENGIE Impact, Ivan worked in various roles, which include:

• Management consulting at Oliver Wyman in Singapore covering business strategies development and target operating / organisational model designs

• Investment advisory at I-DEV International in Kenya, covering growth strategies development and capital raising for SMEs within Sub-Saharan Africa

• Tax consulting at KPMG in Toronto, covering advisory (including M&A, tax restructuring and planning), assurance, and regulatory services

He holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Master of Accounting and Bachelor of Accounting and Financial Management from the University of Waterloo. He is also a CPA, CA (Canada).
