Julie Raneda is a partner in Schellenberg Wittmer's international arbitration practice and the managing director of the Singapore office. She represents clients in international commercial and investor-state arbitrations and also advises clients in relation to trade sanctions.
Julie has been involved as counsel in complex and high-value arbitrations seated in civil and common law jurisdictions and also sits as an arbitrator. Her main areas of expertise include construction and engineering, energy, pharmaceutical/life sciences, fintech, distribution, manufacturing and international sales.
Julie was admitted to the Swiss Bar in 2011 and to the Singapore bar in 2016 (foreign lawyer). She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb).
Julie is the chair of the Swiss Chamber of Commerce and Industry Singapore (SwissCham Singapore), the co-chair of the Swiss Arbitration Association (ASA) Asia Chapter, a faculty member of Delos' Remote Oral Advocacy Programme (ROAP) and a member of the ICC Singapore Empowerment Sub-Committee. She is one of the co-founders of the Women’s Business Society in Geneva.
