Past Event | Site Visit at Mencast
The French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore was honored to organise an exclusive site visit to Mencast, Singapore’s leading provider of marine propellers and stern gear systems. With over 43 years of expertise, Mencast serves global shipowners, shipbuilders, and offshore industries, specialising in design, manufacturing, repair, and precision engineering. The company has established itself as a key player in the digital transformation of maritime manufacturing, integrating AI-driven design optimization, additive manufacturing (AM), and IoT-enabled monitoring solutions to enhance propulsion efficiency and sustainability.
During the visit, participants gained first-hand insights into Mencast’s advanced manufacturing capabilities through a guided tour of its foundry-casting and R&D facilities. The session began with an introduction to Mencast’s vision and technological innovations, presented by Dr. Chia Boon Tat, CTO. Attendees had the opportunity to witness the seamless integration of traditional engineering with cutting-edge digital solutions, highlighting the company’s pivotal role in the maritime industry’s transition toward smart and sustainable operations. Our guests had a conversation with Mr. Glenndle Sim, Executive Chairman and CEO, who shared about his company’s vision on sustainability and innovation.
