Join this presentation of Singapore's Zero Waste Master Plan followed by a discussion with representatives from NEA, VEOLIA, SODEXO, ZERO WASTE CITY
This Event is supported by NEA as a co-located event of CleanEnviro Summit Singapore.
The Zero Waste Masterplan lays out Singapore’s strategies to overcome challenges of climate change and resource constraints and seize the opportunities in them.
The overarching strategy is to adopt a circular economy approach to waste and resource management and shift to more sustainable production and consumption.
To effect this shift, Singapore is pursuing several strategies including regulatory intervention to close key resource loops of food waste, packaging waste (including plastics) and e-waste, infrastructure investment, industry development, Research & Development, and public consultation, outreach and engagement.
These levers and enablers are mutually reinforcing and complement one another, and will enhance Singapore’s climate, resource and economic resilience to secure a sustainable future for all of us.
